Believing In Love That Lasts…
January 4th, 2023 – William Sumner
Over the last few years, I have thought a lot about photography, and what images really mean to people. I have had the honor of shooting so many beautiful wedding, couples, and families who have trusted me with some of their most precious moments. The thrill of an engagement ring and the promise it brings, solemn vows uttered in front of family, God, and friends, and the celebration of new life.
It is a loss to me that we live in a time of quick content that burns out fast into the sea of information overload. I want more for these images than to land like chicken grain on a conveyor belt called “the feed.” I want love to mean more than a display of affection.
The dream I have for every client is a vision of their grandkids rummaging through a dusty attic, looking through old boxes and discovering a scrap book of printed photos. Photos of their grandparent’s love in its early years, a timestamp of younger seasons, before their devotion had seen the fruit of its labor. I want these images to be timeless in the truest sense, standing as a gentle reflection of love that fights through sickness and loss. Love that ages like bourbon and wine.
So for a world that hardly can keep a match lit, this is believing in love that lasts.
Kind words from Devon and Jacob:
“Literally the best photographer around. While the photos are incredible, the real gift is William himself. He brings a calm and fun demeanor that can only make you smile. He listens to what you want in a creativity that brings the beauty out in every shot he takes. It was easy to tell he truly enjoyed what he was doing and cared to make it the best he could for us. If you want to have a great relaxing experience with a photographer and the best photos to come from it, William is who you need to call!”
