Abby & Josiah’s Wedding at The Hermitage Museum in Norfolk, Virginia

When I first chatted on the phone with Abby and Josiah, they told me they were most excited about two things in their wedding day: Firstly, to celebrate the culmination of all the years their friends and family have supported their relationship to this moment, and secondly, to see how the Spirit of God would show up in this holy moment of their wedding day. These are my kind of people…

The highlight of this day for me was hearing Abby’s dad share these words during the father-of-the-bride speech

“You know, I loved those years when she was a little girl, but if I could go back to that moment, I dont know if I would. I think I would miss who she is now just as much as who she was then as my two-year old.”

*no i did not tear up just now recalling that memory…

As a girl dad, FOB speeches and dances do something to me now that I was not prepared for.

Here is their gallery.
