Hannah & Jared
September 2nd, 2021 – William Sumner
The first time I ever stepped into Hannah and Jared’s home was a hot summer day earlier this year. Wall fans pushed the warm air through the living room, over the piano, and all the way to the kitchen in the back. Without any A/C, the fans carry great relief to stiff and heavy air. I walked into the back of their place and quickly peered through a window on their back wall into a wonderful sunroom. Gentle evening light fell through a panoramic set of windows onto a worn wooden floor and Jared’s quaint home painting studio supplies. I pressed my face up against the window like a child looking into a candy store and played through my head what this lovely little space would look like early in the morning. With east-facing windows, I guessed a fine morning’s glow would be magical in this space. Hannah and Jared were so kind to invite me back into their home for this shoot and a hot breakfast.
The music below is a little tune Jared recorded as a sound byte to accompany the photos. It was pretty special to merge these two art forms into a little symphony of sight & sound. Please play the music as you scroll through set. These are the photos…
Kind words from Hannah and Jared after the shoot:
“We loved our couple's session with William. His eye for aesthetics combined with his love for story allows him to create an atmosphere that is unique, enjoyable, and also organic. Through questions about our love and journey as a couple, his sincerity and care provided a relaxed and nostalgic environment. William demonstrated his kindness through his enthusiasm and genuine interest in capturing a memorial of our story and turning it into a tangible reminder of our love.”
